Associate Dean
Andrew Chin is the Associate Dean at the Florida A&M University (FAMU) School of Architecture + Engineering Technology (SAET). A tenured Associate Professor with 20 years of teaching experience, Chin earned a Bachelor of Design and Master of Architecture from the University of Florida, and a Master of Science in Urban & Regional Planning at Florida State University. He has taught design studios, thesis and urban design classes at the University of Florida, Georgia Institute of Technology and FAMU. Chin’s research has been supported by the US Economic Development Administration (EDA), the State of Florida’s Division of Historical Resources, Department of Education, and Department of Community Affairs, the Kellogg Foundation, and numerous planning agencies. He is currently provided community design assistance in Apalachicola and North Port St Joe.
