Armando Fana’s experience with housing and social services programs and initiatives spans over 20 years. During his tenure as a Program Manager and Director for the Broward County Florida Workforce Development Board from 1997-2003 he played an important role in the implementation of welfare reform and workforce development programs. He joined the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in 2005 as the Field Office Director for the Miami Field Office, which covers the 10 southernmost Florida counties. In his role as Field Office Director Armando served as the highest ranking local HUD official. In 2015 he joined the City of West Palm Beach as the Director of Housing and Community Development where he was responsible for the oversight of funding and programs that provide attainable housing, community and economic development, homelessness prevention and social. In 2019 he was appointed as the City’s Assistant City Administrator for Community Services by Mayor Keith James.
