Stephanie Berman is the President of Carrfour Supportive Housing, a not-for-profit organization established by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce in 1993 to develop and operate innovative housing communities for vulnerable families through a unique approach combining quality affordable housing with comprehensive on-site supportive services. Under Ms. Berman’s leadership, Carrfour has housed more than 10,000 formerly homeless men, women and children since 2006. Prior to becoming President in 2006, Ms. Berman served as Carrfour’s Vice President of Resident and Property Services for four years. Ms. Berman has devoted her life to working on behalf of the homeless and underserved populations of her community. She previously worked at the Children’s Home Society, where she served as Program Director of Emergency Shelter Services. In this position, she was responsible for all aspects of a comprehensive emergency shelter program serving over 1,000 abused and neglected children per year. Ms. Berman was recently recognized by the South Florida Business Journal as one of South Florida’s most influential business women and by Florida Trend as one of Florida’s most influential executives. Ms. Berman has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Brandeis University and a Master’s Degree in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.
