Housing for All: Case Study from Orange County

Creating meaningful change in how affordable housing is delivered takes a comprehensive effort involving local government, the private sector, and residents. In this workshop, we will highlight a critical piece of Orange County’s Housing for All campaign: converting the missing middle and ADU zoning change recommendations into visual designs. Working with AIA Architects and students, the Orange County’s Planning Department held a series of regional affordable housing workshops to test proposed zoning code changes and develop diverse housing solutions that would turn NIMBY into YIMBY.
