By the Numbers: 2019 Rental Market Study

Three-fourths of Florida’s renters are working households; most of the rest are elders and persons with disabilities. That’s one of the findings of the 2019 Statewide Rental Market Study, produced by the Shimberg Center at University of Florida. The Center will present the study’s conclusions on the affordable housing needs of Florida’s low-income renters, seniors, and special needs populations and an update on preservation risks to the state’s assisted housing supply. Debra Koehler of Sage Partners will offer a developer’s perspective on how practitioners can use data and research to make the case for affordable housing.
