Long-Term Compliance and Monitoring of Federal and State Funded Projects

The workshop will provide an overview of the monitoring process for Federal Housing and Community Development Programs such as CDBG and HOME and State program such as Low-Income Tax Credits (LIHTC) and SAIL. The workshop will outline the purpose for compliance monitoring and cover ways community development professionals and agencies can prepare for monitoring visits including appropriate display of your policies and procedures, and good practices to ensure contract compliance from internal and external partners. For property managers, this training will cover long term rental compliance.  Timing of leases, income eligibility, proper file documentation and over income tenants.  Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, share their experiences, and discuss best practices.
